Covid-19 Update on Patient Care Protocols
Dear Mullaney Dental Family,
We are happy to offer our patients a safe environment to receive their much needed dental care. Our team has been fully vaccinated since February 2021.
We have worked very hard on our new patient care protocols and are strictly following the guidelines set out for us by the American Dental Association, the CDC and OSHA.
Please read our new protocols designed for safety for our valued patients and team:
We will be reaching out to you prior to your appointment for your COVID pre-screening. Please wear your mask up to the Suite and we will meet you at our door for a temperature check and re-screening. We will then be bringing you back to your treatment room. Prior to any dental treatment, we will have you pre-rinse with a special hydrogen peroxide rinse, which has been shown to inactivate viruses on contact.
We have implemented a brand-new air sanitation system (ActivePure®), which is a highly effective purification system originally invented to protect NASA astronauts from even the smallest contaminants in the Space Station. The (ActivePure®) Technology is better-than-HEPA filters and has been universally tested and proven effective against bacteria, viruses, mold and fungi in the air and on surfaces. We are proud to be one of the only offices in the state to be using this technology.
We take PPE (personal protective equipment) very seriously for each appointment. The PPE that will be worn by clinical staff during your appointment meets and exceeds the current safety guidelines from OSHA and the CDC for working in close contact with patients. As always our clinical treatment rooms have been thoroughly wiped down by using CaviCide1 (an EPA approved disinfectant for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID 19.) CaviCide1 is also a proven Tuberculocidal, Bacteriocidal, and Fungicidal. In addition, we have always used Steam Sterilization on ALL dental instruments and we test our equipment weekly to verify sterilization. In addition, you will notice every surface is covered with disposable plastic. Anything that cannot be sterilized will be disposed of.
We have set up Sneeze Guards at the front desk (free-standing plexiglass shields) in order to minimize contact when you check out for your appointment.
Staff will be wiping down all frequently touched surfaces frequently with hospital-grade disinfectant; including countertops, door handles, keyboards, and other higher traffic areas. Clinical flooring is always cleaned using hospital-grade disinfectant.
As always, we value the trust you have placed in our office. If you have any specific questions, please give us a call. We look forward to seeing all of you very soon.
